I have walked the same path you walk.
I came to the United States as a child, with my family, from Colombia. We applied for asylum, won it, and eventually became American citizens. That is my story — and it is why this practice is not just my profession.
Before practicing law, I was a middle school social studies teacher, teaching students who had recently arrived in the United States — children whose parents mostly did not speak English. In those classrooms, day after day, I saw the reality of immigrant families up close: the fear, the unanswered questions, the processes they did not understand, and the absence of serious representation. That is where I came to understand the deep need for an immigration attorney who would truly fight for them. That is why I decided to study law.
I graduated from the University of Florida — Levin College of Law, one of the most respected law schools in the country. My practice is primarily in immigration courts nationwide, and in federal courts — including habeas corpus petitions for clients detained by ICE, where every hour counts.
